Hi! I'm Matthew Stenquist, and I ride down some of the worlds biggest mountains, code and design as a UX Engineer — Fullstack Product Designer. Currently, I work remotely for a SF based startup leading their UI design and UX engineering stack. I do fullstack product design and UX engineering writing components and designing visual elements for user interfaces to craft rich engaging user experiences for software, apps, and video games.
In my spare time I'm building and making Firepit a production tool for project managers,
— and manage Joyhype (gamesmadefromabackpack.com) my mobile studio with over 5 million downloads worldwide working with brands such as Cartoon Network, and IBM.
Lastly, I'm building Spacebox a UI platform for game developers. In the past I've designed products for startups
over the years raising £10m in funding (YC14) to working with large multi-national companies.
When I'm away from a computer you can find me skateboarding and snowboarding at the professional level. I studied in The Netherlands, Switzerland, and in Los Angeles. — Lived in five states, seven different countries, and am now traveling as a remote worker. As a teen I trained for the winter Olympics in Park City, Utah and was on an MTV show about young snowboarders.
My profile and work has been featured and covered in and on: IGN, Wired, Forbes, Web Designer Magazine,
CSSDA, Snowboarder Magazine, 30/30, Techcrunch, Edge Gaming Magazine, NomadLife, Freestyle Snowboarder Mag,
and Apps Magazine. Anyways, that's about it. Feel free to message me at email@example.com.
